that I have to ask before I do something potentially stupid.

There's someone nearby doing a local sale of a 10bolt with 3.42's. It's out of a 2000 SS with 12k miles.

1) Is TCS the same as "2nd gear start" ? I believe it is, but I can't seem to find any set in stone answers.
2) Can I install a rear end that doesn't have TCS in a car with the 2nd gear start?
3) If the rear end doesn't have ABS would I need to get an ABS relocator ring and install it?

TCS and SGS are two different things....the traction control doesn't affect what gear you are in, while the SGS does just what it says....starts the car from a stop in second gear.

The rear does have ABS. If you don't have traction control you will not have ABS after this, because your car has a 3 channel ABS and the traction control car has 4 channel. But if you're like me and desperate to get your car running and don't care about ABS, it will go in just fine
