OLD DRIVESHAFT:
2 piece steel weighing in at 22 lbs.
NEW DRIVESHAFT:
1 piece aluminum weighing in at 10 lbs. bought off ebay for $140
labor: (because honestly i just didnt feel like it) $25 30 minutes
considering i bought this off ebay the price wasnt a steal or anything..but this driveshaft is basically brand new..it came off of an 02 Trans Am..installation was nothing..it was a direct fit..no issues during install at all..now for the good stuff..the car is DEFINITELY faster..the rpms climb a bit quicker..its really pretty cool..you can rev it very quickly..you cant really feel it as much if you punch it at highway speeds..but from 0 - 60 i can actually feel it pull a little more..unfortunately the track is not open here..but i would expect 2 tenths from this mod..i also SWEAR i can feel that i do not have to use as much gas to maintain speed..not quite sure about that yet..hands down definitely worth the money..my only concern were increased vibration and noise..and i do not have any of these..i have taken it up to 75mph so far..only difference is its lighter and faster!
