  • Who installed their own Trans Go kit

Hey, i just bought the kit with corvette servos and i was wondering how hard the kit is to install myself. I've never opened up a tranny so i'm kinda hesitant to. Is it really as easy as the tape makes it out to be? If not I'll take it in to a shop and have them put it in along with some other upgrades.

I heard it is slightly different than the tape, but if you go by the instructions and the tape as a guide, you shouldn't have any problems. I however never installed a kit, but would like to in the future sometime.

The valve body part is easy, just be careful when you lower the valve body so you don't lose the check balls. I DO NOT recommend you install the servo yourself b/c it is a PITA to get everything correct with VERY VERY little room to work.

I did it, took like 4 hours total. The servo is a pain in the *** but if you're patient and pretty good with tools and your head it's nothing you can't handle.

Yeah don't drop the check balls, I didn't want to put mine in after I saw the tape and it was big bucks to have it put in.

the valve body portion was no sweat, just took my time and had a buddy provide a second set of hands(VERY useful when you put the accumulator back in lol) but I ordered the raptor servo and not knowing I had to set some kind of pin depth I destroyed my clutch packs. I say do the valve body part yourself and have a shop install the servo.
