about 4k miles ago I installed a spec stage 2 clutch in my car and had my flywheel resuraced. Not long after the clutch install, whenever I start to let out on the clutch slowly and not give it gas, the car sputters and acts weird. Also, if I leave my car in neutral, when I go to crank it back up it usually doesnt want to go into reverse. Whenever I go from the first to second shift it feels like theres two steps to second gear or something. Its kind of hard to explain but it feels like it stops for a split second and then goes into second. I usually have to ride the clutch all the time just for it not to catch real hard during everyday driving. Should I be driving the car differently than with the stock clutch??? Also, today when I was cruising in neutral at about 10mph, I went to put it in second and let out on the clutch real slow and the car started to buck really bad. Do I need to drive the car differently than I was with the stock clutch or does it sound like I need a new tranny???

Doesn't sound like any problems to me. The T5 does not have a syncro for reverse, so its normal to most of the time have to put it in 2nd or 5th before going into reverse.
The sputtering and bucking is just having a gripper clutch. I have a stage 3 and it is 'hard' to drive if you putt around all day.Keith - 99 'maro - White M5 - bumpstick and boltons - 13.65 @ 101 N/A
