• Who here has done the B&M trans cooler by themselves?

I might have some questions soon. These online guides are so general. I need to know which bolts go where? Where to stick the pads at? Which fittings go where? Which line is the return? If you can give me the rundown and I'll try this in a day or two. Thanks.

i have done it twice now once to my car and to a friends

this site is what helped me
    http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/94Z/trannycooler.htm

the pads stick to the back of the cooler to put space between the cooler and the ac condesor or whatever it is (looks like a radiator)

I never used bolts just ziped tyed it to the radiator (you have to push the fan up so you can cut the excessive zip tyes off in the back and but the backing of the zip tie on)

    go look at his picture
    http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/94Z/tranny18.jpg

to find the return line look for that clamp that is were it will disconnect you dont have to gut any hoses on the car just cut the hose that came with the kit in half

the arrow that points to line form bottom of tranny cooler is what the clamp will atach to origanly ( after you move clamp back like 3" on the hose pull hose off the metal part where the arrow is pointing and place of of the hoses form the new cooler on to the metal part the arrow is ponting to tighten ot down with the screw type clamp pictured in picture)

now you are gonna have the hose you pulled off the thing the arrow was pointing too(the metal part) the hose with the clamp is now gonna be hanging dripping trans fluid not that much tho dont be scard

the gold adapter things that come with the kit use the small set screw them togher and tighten before hand then slide one end (the gold metal thing will have 2 male ends pick one and stick it in)into the other line of the new cooler and the other male in to the hose with the clampmove the clamp back down so it hold the hose on the male ends

you have to use those screw clamp things at the end of every tube excapet for the one that clamp thats already on the car that you reuse

in picture where it says factory clamp reused the gold is of the to gold peice put together

its all about the factory clamp (when trying to find the return line

hope this helps if you need more help let me know its late i know this sucks but its late and i am trying to study for a final arghhhhhhhhhhh

oh i forgot start car up afterwards make sure no leaks if the screw clamps arnt tight enough they will leak crank those down good and when your all done check to make sure your trans fluid level is ok

      for those that dont know

start the car run it through each gear leave it there a second hen go to the next when you get back to P leave he car running then go pull the dip stick whipe off replace in thingy( its late cant think of the dam work) ahh dip stick tube
put all the way back in take out and see where the level is it should be in the crossed hatched area when the car is hot if the car is not hot it will look a little low

ohh yea if your trans fluid is brown umm yea thats not good you need to get it changed it should be like a cherry red

will need little funnel to add trans fluid you add it in the dipstick tube

there thats everything anyone could want to know right?

      sleep sounds gooodddddddddddddd
