I took my car out today and it appears to have transmisson problems.. It doesnt go to third gear or second im not sure. Its a automatic transmission . I also noticed that the Speedometer is not working either. Everything else is just not that. Any one have any clues of what this might be? Could it be an electrical problem?

Did your car sit for a while, do you beat on it / race it / stall it up / etc? I don't know much about A/T's, but if changing the fluid doesn't fix it, it probably needs to be rebuilt. Actually i just bought it a couple of months ago. I raced it a couple of times like a week ago. Its a 94 t tops v6. It had 105 miles on it. I checked/smelled the oil in the transmission and its fine. It doesnt smell like burned and its full. My friend has a firebird im not sure what year. He crashed it and has it at his house. If its the trans he will sell me it. I FIXED IT !! The transmission has a sensor at the end . One of the cables was disconected. That made my speedometer mess up.. Since everything is computerized for some reason it didnt change gears. So i conected the cable to the sensor and now it works. The speedometer works and also the trans.. Weird stuff... Any ways thanks for trying to help.94 red Camaro V6 3.4L T tops stockComment
