• !@#$ It seems like I have NO options left!!!

OK.

So I swapped my rear end and upgraded to 3.42s and a LSD.

Now I can't find anyplace to get this sucker reprogrammed! I refuse to drive with the speedometer/shift points off! I don't want to go with Wester's custom tuning until I get some more stuff done to the car, because that would be a waste of money.

It seems like no dealership in town will touch the PCM.

The only place in town that programs for F-Bodies isn't capable of programming the V6 (probably because there's no software available yet).

I'm at a loss. Do I have any options left?

I'm not too familiar with it. What's the cost, and will it fix my shift points and speedo?

I've got a '99 auto...

It's a 99. The HPP3 only works on 00' and above.

And about the electronic speedometer recalibrator, will that make my shift points work correctly as well? That's the big thing that I want is the maximum performance.

Looks like I may have to go with the JET SCU2000. Thank you for the suggestion.

I dealership wont flash your car with a vin from a car with 3.42 gears? I was told they can do that and it would fix the shift points and speedo.
I am going to have the same thing done.

The Jet SCU2000 and the SLP recalibrator does NOT fix shift points.

I went with Wester's programming to fix mine. If you add more mods later you get free udpates (have to pay S&H). Just go with Wester's. Plus you get a performance tune.

After I swapped to 3.42's on my A4 my performance was horrid until I got Wester's. The car was holding back power or something. Actually for a little while I regretted doing the swap.

I still have an issue with my 1-2 shift (sometimes it goes until it hits the rev limiter and other time it shifts just fine) but Wester's is sending me another PCM to hopefully fix that. Besides that issue it is great.

Also, if you go with Wester's make sure you get a Crank Position Relearn Procedure done or you will probably get a P0300 (random misfire) code (your SES light will flash for about 10 secs or so). Most diagnostic scanners should be able to do one.

It's all good.

On the page for the JET SCU2000 it says it will fix the tranny shift points:

But it really won't?

I've checked with almost every single GM dealer in town. The only ones I haven't called yet are like buick/cadillac dealers. I doubt they'll do it, either, but I'll still give them a try.

Other people have had it work. Las Vegas has plenty of car dealers, but it seems like not a damned one of them will touch it.

I REALLY REALLY don't want to go with Wester's custom tuning. I don't have enough done to my car right now. Hell, paying for the custom tuning just to fix the gears will cost more than what I paid to swap in the new rear end. Bleh. :(
