shifting problems

i originally had a post in the general message board but it started talking about stuff that goes here.

Very simple problem:
I installed a transgo shiftkit on my car, and now i can't shift to 4th gear.

what part of the shiftkit would cause that? the servo?

Well, my 4L60E rebuild book offers lots of possibilities.

Valves Stuck:
* 2-3 Shift valve
* Accumulator valve
* 1-2 Shift valve
* 3-2 Control Valve
Spacer plate or gaskets incorrect, mispositioned or damaged.

2-4 Servo Assembly:
* Missing or damaged servo seals
* Damaged piston seal grooves
* plugged or mission orifice cup plug

Case:
* 3rd Accumulator retainer and ball assembly leaking
* 3-4 Accumulator piston seal or seal grooves damaged
* Plugged or missing orifice cup plug
* Restricted oil passage

So lots of things could be causing it. Good luck.

Wrong location of the valve body bolts could also cause this.

alright thanks for the help guys.

I am 99% sure the bolts are all in the correct places, so thats 1 down and about 10 more things to check!
