i really want to get a LSD. if i buy the one from SLP what else do i have to buy. i thought i rememberd having to buy some other parts along with it. also, how much would it cost to have it installed, and how hard is it to do on your own. i don't know if i'd even have time to install it myself with college and a girlfriend, but i would like to if it isn't too much trouble. thanks.

Since you have a 5 speed, you've got a 3 series carrier already so you don't need a new reluctor ring. The Install Kit is for installing new gears, which you won't be doing. All you really need is a new gasket and some gear oil. I also put on a new diff cover from SLP, part# 65003.

It's not really that hard of an install, but it helps to have someone who knows what they're doing. Me and my dad installed mine, but we had little experience working on cars. This was the first thing I've really done. Would've been alot easier if the pinion shaft bolt hadn't broke off inside the diff!

A lift and a power tool (impact wrench) would make it sooo much easier. Just take everything step by step(installation guide) and everything will go smoothly.
