Ok i think I have everything now on how my car was effected when i put my transgo shiftkit in.
-Overdrive (4th) gear does not engage. If you try to switch to it from 3rd, the rpm's run up about 200 but then drop back down 200 a few seconds later. If you switch it back to 3rd it does the same 200 rpm spike. It's like it wants to go into 4th but can't.
-My car moves much slower now when i give it no gas. If i come to a complete stop, and release the break, I will not move much at all if any. I have to give it some gas to start moving. Before if i let go the car would start rolling at a good pace.
What would cause that in the shiftkit? Could the servo be the problem? I installed a corvette servo along with the shiftkit and the shiftkit had 2 options for springs in the servo, neither of them went with the corvette part so i just picked a spring out. Then again i have no idea what the servo does, what exactly is the purpose of that band it holds? If thats too tight would that cause me to move so slowly without accelerating?
