but with the gears... are richmond gears good? i was told gm motive gears are what i want, but i cant find them..

Buy the gears and lsd from slp. Also, ask for an abs reluctor ring. I think thats what its called...its been a while. They'll know what I'm talkin about.98 firebird A4 -

He has an M5, which means 3.23s, which means a series 3 carrier. He can reuse the one he has in there now. No sense in spending another hundred bucks. ;)Matt

ok.. which brand of gears do you guys recommend.
richmond gears are cheaper then the SLP gears... which ones WILL NOT cause noise?
then i need the complete kit offered to install the kit.. gaskets, bearings, so on....
anyone?

Get the genium GM Gears off tbyne.
Those are the ones I was told to get, the foreign made ones don't pattern in right and can whine sometimes. Even the domestic gears can whine if the guy puts them in wrong.
