Here's my setup, the camaro has 3.08's and an open diff. My truck is a '97 c/k 4.3 v6 (I actually do prefer v6's to smallblocks) with 3.42's and an open diff.
I'm getting ready to swap 3.42 gears into my camaro, and 3.73 gears into my truck.
Can I just buy two takeoff LSD's from SLP, and put one in my camaro, and one in my truck? Or are the rear end's so different that I need to find an LSD designed specifically for c/k trucks?

I don't know about the specific truck, but if it has a 10-bolt (7.5"?) rear end, you can. If it has an 8.8, or a 12 bolt, etc., you can't. So, this post might not help you too much, but you're on the right track. Take the 3.42's if you can.

Thanks. I just checked. Camaro's are 7.5" 10 bolt, and the truck is 8.5" 10 bolt. I'm pretty sure it'll work. Worst case, I have an extra diff to offset to cost a diff that will work with my truck.
