What does "2.4 str" mean? I'm ordering an Edge 3000+ next week, but I don't really know a whole lot about torque converters. Should I just call them and order a converter for a 1999 Firebird V6/A4 or what? THANKS!!!

The reason my str is not quite as high is because I want to gain top end efficiency with converter as well as off the line power. If the str is too high, you begin to lose top end efficiency.

They will want you to call anyway as opposed to ordering it via email. That way they get a better understanding of what exactly you want out of your converter.

Ok. LAST stupid question from me. :( If I get a 3000+ TC, will my car not even move off of the line before 3000 rpms? And how will it effect everyday driving? Thanks for bering with me!! I'm trying to understand these things better.
