I found some gears 3.42 and want to know if they will fit. "slightly used Ring & Pinion gear set for a C5 Corvette. This set came out of a 97'. Depending on your current gear set you could take as much as .5 sec. out of your quarter mile time. The gear set has a ratio of 3.42 and only has about 1500 miles on them and is in excellent condition" thats all the info I have. My car is a 97 firebird. Is my car ten bolt and what size do I have, found some that are 8.5",9" and 8"?

if it's just gears, it should work, if it's the entire transaxle, no, it won't.
