Yah , it is used to turn the crusie off when you have it set .thats it only job .you colud still use it but just disingague it as you would an automatic car .

I'm planning on doing this in the next couple of months, as $$$ and parts allow. Does anyone have a good guide on doing this swap? I've seen the parts list earlier in the post, but are the hook-ups there for the T-5 sensors and all of that? Mostly for the Cruise Control and Clutch Start sensors... I don't know if anything needs to be hooked up to the trany itself.
A buddy of mine is going to help me wrench on it and do the conversion. That kinda sucks... I know I'll need the sensors, but my question is more are the hookups there on the wiring harness... I know I have the plug in for the CD changer, but never had one. I'm more curious about having to run wires, splicing the harness, etc.

Just posting to subscribe... I may start gathering these parts as I can as well so I can get the swap done sometime in the future... man is it fun driving a manual... plus it'd be very helpful for me to have a 5th gear so i can get lower gears and still get good mileage on the freeway which i drive alot.
