I am going to get a short throw shifter very soon and i think i am going to get the pro 5.0. I have a couple of questions first. Will my SLP shift knob fit this? and is the stick any shorter than stock?

i have a pro 5.0 shifter and i love it. if you mean the slp shift knob that is leather with the H on the top of it, it does fit. that's part of the reason that i went with the pro 5.0. the stick on the pro 5.0 is a little bit shorter, but not by much. it was one of my favorite mods. (not that i have done that much yet) totally worth the money. oh yeah, and i was considering a lou's short stick along with this shifter, but decided not to get it. i did email with lou for awhile though to make sure the stick would bolt onto the pro 5.0, and i'm pretty sure that we decided that it would fit2000 pewter firebird<br />Short Throw Shifter, Whisper Lid, Whisper Ram Air, Holley Filter, B&B Triflo, LSD, BMR LCA, STB, PHR, and sway bars (32/21).<br />Power window conversion -

I have the PRO-5.0 and I love it. [img]graemlins/love.gif[/img]
I cut 20mm off the top before installing and it's just about right.
Any shorter than that, and you have to re-thread it. That hieght also leaves just enough room between the boot and the knob for your fingers to wrap around it.
I believe I read on here somewhere that the lou's short stick will hit the console. Do a search.
[EDIT] Oh yeah, the PRO-5.0 uses the stock 16mm thread, so if your knob fits on a stock shifter, then it fits on the PRO-5.0.
