• LS1 Driveshaft Installed, NO PROBLEMS!

I have a 2.75 inch I pipe from a Z-28 under there too, and the 3 inch aluminum LS1 driveshaft went in like it was meant to be there!
I hate to bring out the S.O.T.P. dyno, but I can feel the difference, especially in the midrange.

sounds great! I just ordered an alluminum driveshaft also. I ordered the LT1 part # though. I hope it fits, cuz now you have me worried.. a couple of people say the LS1 fits and others have said the LT1 fits. Maybe they both fit our cars?

The lt1 (1le) will fit no problem, I just put one on, I ordered it because I heard somebody had a problem with the ls1, but I guess they work too.

You got a S.O.T.P dyno too? j/k

SHIRL - I have heard that they all work too, only I heard that the LS1 Driveshaft has caused a problem on at least one car where I guess the Balancer Ring was hitting on something??? Dunno...
It fits fine for me.. I would have gotten the 1LE but I picked this one up for $75 locally, and its from a Mecham T/A (So its rare! ) J/K..

Anyways - a 3 inch or smaller drivshaft will fit no prob with a 2.75 or smaller Exhaust.
Your Lt1 D/S will work I am sure....

I actually put an Aluminum DS off a 3rd gen Camaro onto my 97' V6, so you are fine from 82-present on the driveshaft. The only differences I can think of are diameters of the driveshaft may very.
