If you're referring to your Rear Axles, they are 28 spline.

thanks alot! i cant wait to get it and have it installed to see the difference. Next i will be installing my nitrous kit ontop of that then getting headers.

does anyone have a price range from about where its gonna run me to have the lsd and gears installed?

make sure they know what they are doing, call around ask questions, say you dont want noisy gears, ask them about backlash, if they dont know what back lash is don't go to them..

                usally $4-500 for install

Are you sure you have a series 2? That doesn't sound right - they have 26 spline axles and pretty much disappeared in about 1987.

A great upgrade - you have an Eaton Locker there which is the best bet for 1/4 miling.

Phone around to different shops and get quotes - they will be all over the map. You should get an install kit as well which gives you all new bearings etc. - about $75.00.
