$200-$250 a good price for a Z28 rear-end and INSTALLATION?
I am getting a shop to install a Z28 rear-end.
They are going to give me the Z28 rear-end and install it for $200-$250 (it will go up to 250 if anything special will be needed)
The rear-end is off a 97 Z28 and has the usual LSD & 3.42gears and disc brakes.

How did you stumble into this deal? How to go about finding a new rear end? I want rear disc brakes and 3.42 gears this sounds like the best way to get them. Any drawbacks?

STUMBLED.... yes in deed... I went to several auto shops to get my exhaust installed, after being screwed over by one i headed right down the road really pissed off.. I actually started getting mad at this other shop telling the guy i want everything done, and everything done CORRECTLY. i started asking him a few things about the exhaust he recommended several things to me and told me that he had just gotten a totalled 97 Z28. Someone plowed into the car at a stop light (head on accident) so the entire rear end was in great condition... so i got parts just by LUCK!!
dominic
it shouldn't be worn out at all... it had 20something thousand miles and was driven by a woman in her upper 40's (well, the shop says)
