I was wondering if the driveshaft from a 2002 ls1 Transam "non ws6" is aluminum. I know the ss and ws6 ones are but not sure about the regular v8 ones?..
Also is this a good mod? Will I feel a noticeable difference in acceleration?

Depends on the options on the car. If it's a 6 speed, it will be alluminum. If it is an automatic, it will be alluminum if it has 3.23 gears or steel if it has 2.73s.
As for being a good mod, yes it is. Will you notice a difference? Probably not.
