  • TC question, need answer by tomorrow morning please (9/12)

ok, so I got my midwest torque converter in and finally mounted it up. I think it is too big. what is the biggest TC I can fit in the housing? I was told it's 9.5" is that correct? can anyone verify this because this one is a 10" and rubs like a mofo when I try to spin it. any info would be greatly appreciated.

ya, i can prove it. if the shoe doesn't fit, it ain't your shoe. sorry bud, get a refund or another torque converter. also tell them you had a shop do it and they need to pay the shop to put the "real" one back in. might not work, but might as well give it a shot.

i am pissed, believe me. tomorrow morning I am going to call and tell them that I am expecting them to make it up to me. i want that 32 lb box next day and I want something for free dammit. i don't want the run around bs they gave me, as it took me 17 days to get my verter after they recieved my payment. only for what? to have the wrong size. that is total bs and I want them to make it up to me

don't let them talk you down; act pissed off during the whole conversation and they'll either get mad back at you (which you can get them in trouble for), they'll give in and let you talk them into something, or they'll apologize and say they can't help you. just try to sound pissed the whole time and have your demands ready. you should get helped out.

              Silver00-

Did you add a performance chip to your computer when you installed your converter? Just wondering cause I read that some where I think.

                9.5"

Don't even try doing anything to modify it so it fits.

when it comes to some things you just shouldnt try and take the cheap route, you get what you pay for when it comes to converters, man this guy sounds like a half a**ed backyard mechanic rebuilding garbage converters.
