Hey Guys..I have to get my tranny rebuilt and its going to cost about $2400 including the following parts. Right now it has 99K miles and I'm wondering that even though I get it rebuilt, how much longer can the tranny last?

Assembly set, band, filter, steel plates set, band 2-4, solenoid EPC, solenoid A, solenoid B, VB plate, washer pump, 1-2 accum piston, 3-4 accum piston, one way cl low race, internal harness, bushing kit, washer shell...

If you guys don't think its going to last for that much longer after all that, I'd probably sell it.
Whisper Lid, SLP CAI, KN Filter, 3\" HiFlo Carsound Cat, full 3\" mandrel-bent piping, Flowmaster 80s, Casper O2 Sim, BM Tranny Cooler, Vigilante 3300 Torque Converter, Corvette Servo, 3.42 gears, SLP take-off LSD, Manual Fan Switch, & 160 Thermostat.

How long it lasts will depend on how much you abuse it and the PM on the tranny.

I had my tranny completely rebuilt with borg warner Hi-energy components kevlar and carbon fiber and it ran me $1700.

As far as the rebuild I destroyed my tranny the first time and after the rebuild it's taken everything I've thrown at it without a single problem.

I say if you get it rebuilt and don't have any major power adders, maybe run a cooler if you're worried and it will have another 100k in it!

maybe it would be cheaper if you just buy another used trans

My car has 140,000 miles... with the original transmission. Burnouts, doughnuts, etc... no problems yet, thankfully. So I mean, these cars can take a lot. I think it would be worth the rebuild.
