  • Would this tranny work?

I'm thinking about replacing my tranny since it's leaking and it has 136k on it. It's not acting up and I'm taking it to the shop to check out the leak, but I'm getting ready for it in the future.

    I found this

Performance tranny for $1200 including shipping, sounds good. Now it doesn't specify if it's for the 5.7 or 3.8 why is that? Will this work? His seller ratin is 100% so it seems like a good company.

I have a mechanic that I trust that could put this tranny in. How much should it cost in labor to take the old one out and put this in? Can I get anything for the old tranny?

I'd say your best bet would be to e-mail the seller to verify whether or not its V8 specific.

If your looking for a cheap route, people have used junk yard trannies with fine results. I believe eric (shenanigans) has a junk yard tranny iirc

Labor for a tranny swap should be in the $600 range.
