OK I found a Z rear end...with about 70 thousand miles on it. The only prob is it has 3.23 gear and I was looking for 3.42 gears. Is there that much diff between 3.23 and 3.42?????/

3.42s have a bit better low end, but the 3.23s have a bit better top end. but they even out for the most part. depending on how heavily modded your car is, i would go with the 3.42s. but since you have the 3.23s--i'd just leave em.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28<br />323/335

are u getting a shop to install the rear-end?
if so, i'd get the 3.42's and have them install them also, it shouldn't be to hard (or costly)
also, u may want to look around a little more, becuase that's a lot of miles, you aren't sure how the differential is (probably) it too, could possibly need replacing soon.. Do u know how the car that it was previosly on was driven?
