3.42's LSD went in this morning. we put em in no sweat, but once they were in, the reluctor ring didnt work right, so we had to take the whole thing apart again and stick a different ring that he had laying in his garage (very very lucky) got em installed for 125. i havent noticed a gain yet bc 1)he has a H/C 96 SS that he took me for a ride in 2)its been raining, but i can tell the traction is 200% better

if you have an automatic--which i'm assuming you do since reluctor wheel was wrong size--that will NOT fix your shifts.
here's more info:

don't know if you were aware that shift points wouldn't be fixed--but i'm lettin ya know either way.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28
323/335

i havent noticed it shifting funny anyways. would a new torque converter help or increase the problem or not affect it at all?98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited

MODS:
180* t-stat, K&N FIPK, mopar ECU,
mike leach long tube headers+3\" y-pipe, 3\" all the way out flowmaster 50 series, mopar magnum 2bbl m1 intake manifold, APS 52mm throttle body, powerslots, 2 JL 10w3\'s

shifts will gradually get worse.
torque converter will not help the situation at all.
don't get the scu; find someone who can program the pcm or look for a used pcm of a y87 of your year. they run about $100 as does the programming. much cheaper and much more effective than an scu--but not quite as convinient.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28
323/335
