5th gear synchronizer is history, bye, bye, will not go into 5th. i have a transmission shop ready to do the work, but they don't pull them. how difficult is it to pull the T5 transmission out of these cars? is anything special needed? the last transmission i pulled i had to have a break-over bar with a swivel extender.
one more thing, why in the he|| are there very few shops who work on manual transmissions?
not sure about the v6 but i know that my old t5 on my 88 had 4 torx nuts ( also socket nuts but torx was what i got them out with ) your gonna need 2 of them lol i broke one of them, umm other than that there not hard
simple really just gotta get the ds out and take off that bar ( ull see it when you get there it goes the the back of the car ) it was like a total of 10 bolts i think on the old one, and yea our syncs are horrible same thing happend to the old one only it took 14 years for it to go out
