TransGo Shift Kit 1998+?

I ordered a kit from Thunder Racing listed as working on all vehicles to 2002, but on the box it only lists up to 1997.

My question is, was the 4L60E changed at all between 1997 and 2000, and will the kit need to be adapted?

it worked in mine... as far as I could tell the valve body and servo assembly were the same...

do the shift kit come with a corvette servo or is this something i buy on my own. i was told if i get the corvette servo i should have a shift kit as well is this true

The servo is sold seperately.

You should do them both at the same time. You can do the servo alone but it is not reccomended.

Why do you think that your tranny will explode after 5k miles. my mechanic told me that they would help some parts wear less, like the clutches, and some parts would wear a little more, like the actuall gears. What does everybody think about a shift kit. I really really like a firm shift. ;)

YounGDeezY, I got the servo from http://www.pro-built.net -- I just checked and it's actually $22.55 not $17.00. I could have sworn it was cheaper when I ordered it, though? Maybe they raised prices. ;)

Hey will you post your results after you get it all installed. I can't wait to get mine in. It "makes" your car feel so much quicker, and hell people might think it is a badd arse when you cherp em going to 2nd

did you guys do the install yourselves or did you have it done. If you payed someone for it, what did they charge. Im interested and have been for a while. But my cash flow is limited.

Install it yourself.. if you have any technical skill it should be a breeze..
