Is it possible to go to the dealership and have them put on the y87 package to your car? and if so how much would this cost and would it be worth it to have the dealership to do it?

Just do it yourself. Dealership will rape you in cost. all you need is LSD, gears, exhaust and a new PCM. You could do this yourself for MUCH cheaper than any dealer would charge you, even if you need a shop to do the installs. Plus, you'll get higher performance parts than the stock parts the dealership would put on.1997 Y87 Camaro with a motor and some stuff.

For your year and model you would need the following to make it a "Y87":
LSD (try to get the takeoff from SLP if they have any left)
V8 steeering rack (too much trouble to change)
235 tires (I'm sure you'll put larger tires on anyway)
Dual exhaust muffler (I'm sure you'll put an aftermarket muffler on anyway)Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com
