I've got an lsd take off that i ordered that is comin in this week along with an install kit. No more pegleg burnouts for me I want to get a new gearset installed while i'm in there. I've got 3.23s stock (see car info below). My car is a daily driver in the summer (gets stored in winter). I just wanted a few opinions on what i should get...3.42's or 3.73's... thanks in advance for the advice.

Someone asks this everyday. Some people say 3.42, others say 3.73. I personally would go with 3.73, because it's not gonna hurt your mileage much, and the difference will be greater.

Keep in mind that this is a 3.4L car, not a 3800.

I'd recommend 3.42s, unless you plan on doing a big power-adder sometime in the near future.

Honestly if I still had my 3.4, I'd go 3.73. He's already got 3.23's, so if you want a big noticable difference go 3.73's.

All the more reason to add more gear. The 3.4 guys need all the acceleration help they can get. I vote 3.73 or 4.10.

less power means more gear, don't assume otherwise.

i'm leanin heavy towards the 3.73's. I'm probably goin turbo this winter while i've got my car off the road in storage (my garage). I just wanted to get the starting mods out of the way so when it came time, i could just drop it in and go.
