• Torque Converter...2600 or 3300

I was wondering what some peoples thoughts were on swapping out the torque converter on a daily driver. SLP makes one that stalls out at 2600 and one that stalls out at 3300...$300 price difference between the two. Is it worth it? And how would my daily driving be affected if I got the 3300?

2600 is not a hell of a lot bigger than stock. I wouldn't buy one off the shelf, Id call a company that will make one for your specific car.

That sounds like the price of a mile street edge converter from edgeracingconverters.

I don't even know if they ones you found on SLPs site would work with our V6s anyways

If you don't have the power to support a 3000 stall then don't get it. Really 2600 is good to
go. There are fuel economy and longevity problems with a stall that high. Combine that with a cam and some other bolt ons like NOS will get you into the 13's easy.

1000rpm came up as the stock stall for my car, so 2600 isn't that close to stock
I'd go with the 2600 for a street car.

But it'd launch like a bat out of hell.

I'm probably going to go with 3200-3500 myself.
