  • Mushy/Spongy Clutch Pedal

I have a seperate issue with clutch return springs breaking on my car (I'm on my 4th counting the one that was broken when I bought the car), but I've noticed after driving the Firebird lately that the clutch in my car requires a lot more effort to press even with a good spring in it.

It's felt kinda mushy even more when I first start driving the last few days, but it's always fairly stiff. Is there anything in a clutch that makes it easier to press? I'm almost thinking maybe there's a problem making the springs break, because according to the tech who changed it it can't be user error making them break.
