the transmission is very hard to get in gear after driving for sometime, and seems to "slip"

i have never ,since i bough my car ,bin able to dump the clutch in a 1-2 shift(i have to granny shift to keep it from jerking and lossing speed)

the car will not scratch any gear in a shift

whats going on with the car it only has 25K miles and i baby it except the 2 times i ran at the track??????

Don't know about your other problems, but last year I had a problem with my Trans going into gear(s) too. It wouldn't go into gear the way it should, it was REAL tough to put it into first and second. Believe it or not, I took it to a place to have the Trans Fluid changed, and the shifting went back to normal. Don't know if this was a fluke or not, but it saved me alot of $$$ because I was ready to have the Trans torn down and rebuilt. Try getting your fluid changed first, it may save you too.

Sound like you might need a new clutch. That is what mine did when my clutch was going.

well, #1 you have a 2000 with 25k miles on it, you should be tellin this to your local delarship. and #2 sounds like a slave cylinder problem, thats what would cause it to "lag" and slip, and would be why you cant dump it. at least, thats what i think from only hearing the problem and not driving the car.

faulty slave may cause this problem but it would also cause a change in clutch pedal feel.

i suspect leakage either from trans input shaft seal or from engine rear seal, contaminated the clutch disc lining.

problems shifting into any gear, right? not just into a particular gear?

Clutches aren't covered under waranty. Mine wasn't coverd @ 3,600 miles and it was burny up because of tranny failer.
