Anyone upgrade their automatic tranny fluid to synthetic?

I'm probably going to have my mechanic do that. I was wondering if it was a noticible difference. I am also wondering how much it would cost (pricey?)

Silver, I am going to do it in the LS1, as soon as I get back to Anchorage. I ran into a "wham-dammer" deal at the shop, where I paid .50/qt for Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF.
The bottles are usually between 5.50-7.50/qt, and seems to me that they are NEVER on sale.
Also, porb a good idea to have the mech do this one, as to ensure that the car is "flushed" ie torque converter, w/ synth. ATF

I'm definately going to have the mechanic flush it... the one thing I am kinda hesitant to work on is an automatic transmission. I just hope it's not insanely priced (labor wise)
