If you jack the rear up and put the car in gear the left rear wheel will wobble. It makes some noise going down the road.
Ive replaced the wheel bearing, which didn't fix the problem. And ive even swamped in a different axle shaft to see if that was it. Swamped wheels also to make sure no bent wheel.
What else could it be? Carrier bearing? Has to do some thing with the differetnial and the axle.
Not the axle?? I'm just guessing here, but If the carrier gears were screwed up, wouldn't both wheels wobble? I had a minor problem when I installed the disk rear from the 95 T/A into my camaro in July of 2002. The rear left axle was slightly bent (not wobbling), and causing a squeak every turn of the wheel. Replaced the axle, and it went away.
I believe it is the carring bearing. I don't remember the exact name. Sorry. It is right where the driveshaft meets the at the rear end. My 2000 did that. Just it was the passenger side that did that. When I slow down or speed up, it would make like a clunking noise. It was gonna cost like close to 500 bucks to fix it. Needless to say I sold the damn car lol. Too many problems.
I would say its the axle bearing....the carrier bearing would cause some rearend noise as opposed to the axle bearing which would cause some wobble and some noise near the wheel.

I've already replaced teh axle bearing(wheel bearing). Thats partly why im stuck. There is no diff noise, it just comes from the left wheel.
The axle shaft the guy sent me was a little different, like 1/3 a inch shorter and the studs were longer. I made it work but it still wobbled so i put back on my old when when i replaced the axle bearing.
The only 2 things i can think of is my axle shaft is bent or my axle tubing is bent :( . I hit that side hard on that wheel (different wheels) and thats the only possiblity left i think.
