how can i take off the Shaft, Rear Axle

I have 94 Camaro Automatic 3.4 sfi with abs ..

I had some whistling problems . I went to a shop and they told me that it was the Left/Right wheel bearings. They charge like 280 to fix. But iwant to do this on my own. Ive taken apart drum, brake pads , 4screws in the back ect.... Im stuck i cant take off the Rear Axle Shaft. Does it have a kind of lock or something ? I dont see how i cant it off .. unless theres a special tool to unscrew it from the middle...If anyone can tell me how to take it off post it here or give me a link to where i can read it off from....

Axleshafts slip into the differential, where they are held on with c-clips. To get out the axle shafts, you pull the diff cover, the pinion block, and the c-clips (remove block, push axleshaft in, clip falls, pull out). GET A HAYNES MANUAL! It covers the bearing replacements very well.
