  • GEAR SWAP!!???

    I want to goto 3.73's. From what wickedsix says there great. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

    And I know that I will be able to get the slp speed recalibrator to fix the speedo. But like wickedsix says. He said the speedo is fixed but the governer kicks in at 98. So How would I be able to move it up. Even back to 118mph would be ok. Only thing I can think of is ASE computer programming. But is there another way? I really want gears but I cant max out at 98mph thats just rediculous. Please help me find a solution I would love to do a gear swap. And my car is a stick so no worrys about shift points. Thanks.

    Jet SCU (Speed Control Unit) 2000 recalibrates the speedo for you, for different tire sizes and gear swaps, so you can use it more than once. I also believe it removes the speed limiter. If so that's the way to go, it's like $120. I'll find a link for you.

      JET SCU 2000

      Interacts with the vehicle speed sensor on your Camaro/Firebird. It allows transmission shift points and speedometer calibration for vehicles where tire size or gear changes are required. It also eliminates the top speed limiter in these applications. It simply plugs in to the transmission and is adjusted with the turn of a switch.

        I think the jet scu only works for automatics...

          Do you have the JET SCU 2000? In your sig it list all your mods except for this. If you dont have any first hand experience I dont need people guessing on what works and what dont. NOt to come off rude but as to my knoledge the Jet unit only works on manuals.
