Some people have to come in and ruin a perfectly good converter post.

I'm going to start a new one here.

NBMA4V6, If you have more questions add them in here. You should definitely hit 14.4 with a good converter. Your 1/4 time is already pretty good. 4/10s reduction is well within range.

aalugo2000, PI makes very good converters. Keith has one in his car and it's worked great. Yank is more tailored to your car. You can get one specifically for power adder or just NA or little of both.

i go to work for one day and all hell breaks loose in my thread :D Yeah i know James' converter is a nitrous converter but after talking to one of the members on LS1tech, yank has a 3200 stall that is basically a spin off of the 3500. I will be calling them today to get some numbers and everything i will let everyone know

You mean the super thruster stepped down to 3200?

You don't need the extreme series unless you're spraying over 125 or 150.

It's good that you have all those track numbers for comparison.

On yanks site it says that for abetter 1/4 time you should get a lower str. Well it says an ls1 with a 1.6 str will have a better 1/4 et than with a bigger str. Does this apply to the 3.8 or is it just the raw power of the ls1 :D I would like to get a 2.8 str for my 3.8 but if i would get a better 1/4 et with a lower str than that is what i want, dom and everyone else please give your opinions

When I'm 5 cars ahead of you at the 1/8th, I really don't care if you start pulling afterwards with your high efficiency and low STR and I win by 2 cars. Just what "I" would do to my car. You might have different goals. I would not get a low STR converter. Sure you might beat me from a 50mph roll or on the highway, but I personally don't care. My goals are from 0-100 only at this time. I will sacrifice everything else. If your car is a daily driver you might want higher efficiency and lower STR. If you want to race on the highway, you might want something else. You might have different goals, level of comfort, etc. I can't pick a converter for you. Higher STR will hit harder off the line. If your track if badly prepped then it might not work for you at all. You might also spend more money in your suspension mods to get the most out of your hard hitting converter.
