  • ABS problems with rearend swap?!?!?!

I'm going to be getting a rearend out of a 94 z28 LT1 with 3.42 and LSD. However, the ABS carrier on the 94 is a 3 series and mine (98) is a 2 series (or vise versa). Will this cause problems; like I won't actually be able to do the rearend swap. Please help because I plan on getting this rearend by this weekend!

I think you are getting ABS confused with the carrier. The carrier is the LSD or non-LSD which you have now. ABS is a 3 channel or 4 channel setup. I believe 98+ have 4 channel. Just make sure that the rearend has 4 channel ABS.

Sorry about the 3x thing, computer froze, then unfroze. So I can still get the rearend, or no? And then would I have to have my PCM flashed? All i really want to know is, Will I have any problems mounting a 94 LT1 rearend on a 98?

To save me the trouble, especially with bleeding the brakes and such, I'm going to just get the GearSwap Kit from ThunderRacing and an LSD. Unless I hear otherwise that a used rearend is a better route.

Bleeding the brakes is easy. Gears have to be professionally installed. You could do the rear end swap yourself. It's not that bad as long as the bolts are not rusty.
