Alright, driving today doing some light and heavy acceleration I realized that my car shifting from 1st to 2nd sucks! Under full throttle the car gets to around 4500 rpms and starts to make his clanking noise. And they only way to get it to shift into 2nd is to let off the gas(under full throttle that is). The shifting from 2nd to 3rd is fine, its just 1st to 2nd. Will a shift kit help this? I mean my car is a 2002 with 65000 miles on it so I don't think I should be having these problems this early. Also, if it matters my cat that I have on now is completely screwed up and the dealrership is putting a new one on this Sautrday. Would a clogged cat be the cause of this? I have an A4 also. Thanks for any help!
