Need Info on switching to Manual tranny (New Member)

Hi guys was wondering if its worth it when I do my ls1 swap to upgrade the transmission to a 5 speed? Is it extremly difficult? I haven't found much info about doing this.

Little info: LS1's run a 6 speed tranny, not a 5 speed. Also, if you wanna go faster in a straight line (drag strip) stick with the automatic and put a good torque converter in there. You'll whoop most 6 speed owners out of the hole, and with the right other mods, keep them behind you all the way down the track:)
