First, the speedlimiter is what, 114 in a 3.4L?
That's an 89 mph MAX speed... it seems very possible to me to hit the limiter in the 1/4 mile.

Now to answer your question Steven, it will be pretty expensive through a shop. If I remember right, I was told it was a 4-5 hour job... I don't really think there is an alternative though... If you don't get gears done correctly you will regret it.

if 373s or 411s are installed, will a computer recaliberation fix the top speed problems? or will top speed forever be lowered?

My friend put 4.10s on his '00 Mustang V6 and he did it himself. He did get everything reprogrammed as well and it shifts fine, rips off the line, top end is slower but top speed is about the same. Don't see why it would be too much different for your car.

PCM reprogramming can change pretty much anything you want that the PCM controls.

Do not go auto with 4.10's, only with manual
