I ordered a used JET SCU2000 and I have no idea how to install it, or what the different notches on the actual unit refer to. ANYBODY that has one, I would be very glad if you could offer me any assistance.
I can't tell you exactly how to install it, but good lord make sure your connection to the fuse box is PERFECT. I can't tell you how many headaches I had being in traffic and all of a sudden my sh*t won't shift out of 1st gear because the connection in the wires came a little loose. I know the long wire with the plug on the end of it plugs into your vehicles speed sensor, located somewhere near the front right wheel well.
I think one wire is a ground, one you just use to connect to a power source which they recommend being one of the headlamp fuses, then the plug that goes into the VSS. plug the old connector to the VSS into the bottom of the new connector that is in the VSS
I think I can PROBABLY figure out how to hook it up, I'll just ask questions when I need to about specific things - the big thing is I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE DIALS ARE!
I know you have to set your old differential ratio and your new one, but I don't know what the numbers stand for! Instead of having the gears listed on the unit, they have "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9" instead of "2.73, 3.08, 3.23, etc"... So if you know what the numbers correspond to and you'd be able to tell me, I'd be much obliged! Thanks a lot for your help so far
