I have a 2001 3.8 Firebird automatic and I'm looking for an aftermarket tranny mount, preferably polyurethane. Mine is going soft with the new torque converter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thats the one I had ordered in the first place but it didn't fit. Maybe it was the wrong part #.2001 FirebirdW68

Whisper Lid; SLP CAI w/K & N, Flowmaster Am. I used the prothane tranny mount. Think I ordered it from either LMperformance or thunder racing. have to elongate the hole in the tranny brace to make them fit. discussed in depth. quick search for 'prothane tranny mount' or 'prothane mount' should bring up a couple write-ups on it.\'01 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra
-former F-body owner

Yea, thats the problem I had. Can you buy an aftermarket tranny mount without having to modify anything?2001 FirebirdW68

Whisper Lid; SLP CAI w/K & N, Flowmaster Am. I doubt it. Energy suspension and prothane are the only two I know of, and you have to "convince" the crossbrace a bit for both of them. It's not too much work. It's too bad you can't purchase a simple tranny mount for a v6 without having to cut something up!2001 FirebirdW68

Whisper Lid; SLP CAI w/K & N, Flowmaster Am. ES trannymount here.. no problems with installation..
modifying the crossbrace was a breeze with the dremel.. and just added 4 washers to get it to the right level..
overall about a 30 min install.. and well worth it.. after about 2 weeks vibrations were totally gone96 Camaro M5.
