If you are going to do alot of highway driving, go with the 3:42's.
3:73's are nice, but you'll burn lots of fuel on the highway. At the cost of fuel today, you may want the higher (3:42) gears.

3.73s are great if you don't take a lot of long trips..
if you do, go for 3.42s.
my 3.73s dont do too bad on the highway, but my mileage was better w/ 3.23s.
City mileage went up though.

SLP is totally out of the take-off units they used to offer. just check ebay for 10 bolt (7.5/7.625") limited slip differentials; right now there are several up and they are very cheap!

My car came with 3.42s. And I can't waight to get rid of them and go with 3.73s.
But i have an auto, if you have a m5 id go with3.42.
I get about 28mpg on my 3.42s at 70 mph, 2200rpm.

Even though I already bought the 3.42s, I am still wondering if i should go with 3.42 or 3.73.
It seems like I am never going to be able to decide.
