rofl... it'd be the 3.73s. The only real disadvantage of 3.73s is when your car only makes 170 hp at the wheels, i have a friend with a t-bird and his car just sucks after about 4200 rpm bc he has way too much gearing... (3.8l t bird btw, heads and cammed but i bet he only puts out about 135 cuz i smoke him)

are you sure they're faster? I've heard 373s kill top end?

My I used to go about 115 in 3rd gear with 3.23s
I now pull 100 in 3rd, car shifts to 4th and keeps going

Didn't really kill my top end...
Just my highway mileage.

3.42 are the best for automatics 3.73 run to high of rpms on the highway and can really mess with your engine just my view on it

3.23 @ 70 mph around 2100 rpm
3.42 @ 70 mph around 2250 rpm
3.73 @ 70 mph around 2460 rpm

For 200 rpm i don't think it will kill your gas mpg to go with 3.73 instead of 3.42 and by losing Top-end i do believe you just lose your top speed ability but you are not going to hit no 145 mph going down the strip and prolly not going to hit it on the road

3.73's kick a$$.. I still get 30 plus miles on the highway and went from 15.2-14.9 after the gears install..
