I have a rear out of a 02 Z28. It currently has Precision 3.73's. but I also have a set of 3.42's that you can have as well. The rear also has a TA rear cover on it and is setup for traction control/ABS. It only has 5,000 miles on it and only 500 miles on the 3.73's . I live in the Philadelphia area so you will have to pay for shipping. Make a reasonable offer if you are interested. PM me if you can. Thanks

Interested, but is the rearend complete, and do the gears make any noise?

The rear is missing the backing plates because they were needed for the
new Moser 12 bolt that was installed. Eveveything else should be there.
The 3.73's do make noise even though they were professionally
installed. They do not clunk, just make noise. The 3.42's did not make any noise
when they were in and the are origional gm gears. 450 sounds reasonable
as long as freight is not more then 150. Let me know if you wanna do it
and i'll try to find out exactly how much to ship..Im gonna need your
    address/zip etc.
    Thanks
    Adam

you posted this 4 hours ago... patience goes a long way

so what exactly do you need help with? it's a good deal from what the guy lists: TA stud girdle, an extra set of gears, and i'm guessing LSD. the thing is a complete bolt-up (should be able to use your current backing plates) and 450 including truck freight will get it to you.

the only thing i would worry about is what kind of power the Z was putting through that rear; if he is moving up to a 12 bolt he was dissatisfied with the 10 bolt (which isn't saying much i guess). maybe hook it up with new bearings and you'll be golden

EDIT: just noticed the "goldbird" in your name... no pun intended in the last sentence :D
