  • Installed my LSD... Not too shabby

Well, i am broke and had teh itch so i used the instructions that were on the web. From the first lug off the car to rolling it out and putting 2 black marks on my street was approxamatly 3 hours. Never done anything this important to my car or any car for that matter, but it all went without a hitch. gotta love that LSD...

I would say that if anyone is just looking to do a carrier change and keep the existing gear, its somthing you can do on your own, IF you have the mechanical abilityand the right tools. ( torque rench with reverseable reading for the left-handed bolts on the ring), if i went ahead and swapped the 3.73 in, I would have taken it to a pro.

Props go out to whoever made those instructions. if they are a member here.. good job!

Jordon has some good write-ups. He used to own a green 3.4 Camaro, which is what he put the LSD in.

I have a write-up on my site as well, although it's not as detailed with pictures.

You're right Pewter, not difficult at all if you've got some basic tools and can follow instructions.
