Might want to check your spider gears in the carrier.. i had a faint, but existant whine on deceleration and cruising. Put the new Posi in yesterday and my old spider gears looked like someone threw them in the garbage disposal...
I thought it was the gear, nope, definitely explains my intermittent two wheel peels, actually fused them and made a quasi-locker.
Just a little FYI, if you drag race or burnout constantly with a open diff, you might be in for a surprise when you pull that cover off..
