Hi I have a 99 firebird v6 and ordered a 97 a4 tranny for my car. I am in the process of installing it the only problems i have ran into thus far is on my old tranny the bellhousing can be unbolted and the other one off the 97 the bottom of the bellhousing unbolts thats no problem i got around that, But when i went to put the crossmember on and the mount the holes did not line up! does anybody have any info on this. Also about my torque arm how in the heck do you get that thing on there does anyone have instructions and yes i have searched and nobody has any answeres so please let me know. oh yeah and im putting in a 2800 rpm lnj custom torque converter if yall help ill let yall know about this converter!!! The tranny shouldn't be any different. That wouldn't make any sense if GM altered the 4L60E on the camaros, especially in just 2 years. It should be a direct swamp from the best of my knowledge. Correct me if I'am wrong.

one thing you might want to double check.... my car is a 97, but ive got a 96 tranny. there is a difference between 96 and 97's.... well at least the filters and pans arent the same.\'01 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra<br />-former F-body owner

Well I think ill have to work it to fit i guess its just that the crossmember hole does not line up with the tranny mount its like the tranny is shorter but i compared side by side and they are the same lenght. also does anyone know about that torque arm mount thanks
