  • Unhooking speed sensor

Well we talked about it last April / May before my last dyno day ... and here I am again. I'm going to try and disconnect the speed sensor before I roll on the dyno, so I can do it in 4th gear.
    I have a manual
I'm guessing that it's a matter of disconnecting the ABS stuff out back, and the speed sensor on the tranny. Since it's a manual tranny, I can only imagine that the only wired thing going into it wuold be the speed sensor. And for the back, I'll just disconnect any electric stuff out back I see. Tips, pointers, diagrams?

I disconnected my speed sensor once, and when I was on I-95 doin'bout 90mph, it threw an ses light. The car ran fine, but it was wierd going that fast and seeing the speedo at 0 and the rpm's around 3k.
Easy process, the electrical connector is right near the rear of the trans on the pass side. I didn't mess with the abs stuff.
